Urgent News: German unions call major nationwide transport strike for Monday (27th)

We know you already got the newsletter this morning but we thought this was rather urgent.

The Verdi and EVG unions have announced that there will be a 24-hour strike starting at midnight on Monday, and staff working at airports, ports, railways, buses and subways will be involved.

In addition, the unions plan to shut down some parts of the Autobahn, which is the first time they have taken this step. The Autobahn GmbH, which is owned by the federal government, will also participate in the strike. This action could be made possible through their involvement.

This means no public transportation will be there on Monday and we should plan accordingly.
