Get paid to upskill your education

Have you seen ChatGPT taking over so many AI jobs? Check this thread to know what I mean. Long story short, digital transformation and AI are coming for our jobs in the future. Germany recognizes the gap in the market so they want to help you upskill.

German Labour Minister Hubertus Heil wants German employees to take a paid leave to pursue further education. You could do this for up to a year or two years part-time. It’s a tremendous opportunity for anyone looking to enhance their career opportunities and broaden their knowledge base.

The program, which is expected to be introduced as part of the Continuing Education Act, will provide payments equivalent to higher-level unemployment benefits.

Specifically, single individuals will receive 60% of their income and individuals with children will receive 67%. This program is expected to be passed by the federal cabinet in the next few weeks. What would you love to study?

You can read all about it here.

Protecting Poultry from Bird Flu in Munich: Heightened Measures

In light of the recent detection of avian influenza in a swan in Munich, the Veterinary Office has advised poultry farmers to implement heightened biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of the disease.

This includes implementing a feeding ban on wild birds and taking measures to prevent contact between domestic poultry and wild birds and their excretions. The Veterinary Office emphasizes the importance of compliance with these measures, particularly with regard to proper storage of feed and bedding to ensure that it is not accessible to wild birds.

You need to hold back on your chicken consumption as well as for your pets. Munich sees so many cases here, so we thought we should share it.

2 upcoming events

This one’s for the single peeps!

Single and looking to mingle? Then Matching Night could be the perfect event for you! It's the trendiest new way to meet other singles in the city.

Here is how it works - you get to mingle with up to 250 singles in a super chill bar atmosphere. Using some fancy colored bracelets (you get them after taking a quick personality test), you'll be able to see at a glance who might be a good match for you.

To make it even easier to break the ice with other singles, the team behind Matching Night are using the popular Lock & Key icebreaker. Every lady gets a key and every guy gets a lock. If you find the right key to your lock, you'll get a chance to win a prize. Doesn't that sound like fun? This event is perfect for singles between 25 - 45.

Feast your eyes on a truly unique dining experience in Munich? Giorgia Trattoria!

As soon as you step inside, you'll feel like you've been transported back to the vibrant fashion metropolis of Milan in the 80s. The colorful floral walls and vintage patterned chairs create a visually striking atmosphere, and the mirrored ceilings only add to the impact. Some may find it overwhelming, but for me, it's all part of the exceptional design and flair that makes Giorgia Trattoria so special.
