Bummer! One of the best things you could do in winters was to visit Dantebad, an outdoor warm swimming pool. But hey SWM, you gotta do what you gotta do.

So from September 12th onwards, you can say goodbye to Dantebad until next year.

Get featured in a public art project

"Art & Culture for Everyone! " is a project where Munich residents can resent their faces in a city art installation.

If you come to Halle E at Gasteig on Tuesday, September 13 from 12 noon to 7 p.m., you can have your picture taken by JR, a French photographer working in the Bavarian capital.

You could see an example below:

The individual portraits can be altered any way you choose. From all of the individual photographs, JR will construct a larger piece of art to be displayed outside Hall X at Gasteig.

Additionally, your portraits will be posted on JR‘s website: insideoutproject.net.

Be sure to check out "JR: Chronicles," his exhibition at the Kunsthalle Munich, which runs through Sunday January 15, 2023. More information about the exhibition here.

Germany could make it easier to get citizenship amid huge worker shortage

As it struggles to meet a massive labor shortage—almost a quarter of a million employees by 2026–Germany is considering fast-tracking citizenship to foreigners who assimilate extremely well.

According to thelocal.de, “In future, naturalization will be possible after five years instead of eight years currently, and even in as little as three years in cases where people are deemed to have integrated particularly well.

We are thrilled this is finally happening.

The news is here (in English).

This weekend Gärtnerplatz will be converted into a spectacular summer stage, drawing the entire city of Munich to one of the city's most picturesque squares.

The young and unconventional Munich choir "Lost&Found" will kick off Saturday’s diverse music program of local and international bands and musicians.
