The folk festival on Munich's Theresienwiese takes place daily from April 22 to May 8, 2022. Visitors can look forward to two marquees, around 100 rides and booths, and a large supporting program.

If you have no plans today, then do visit Theresienwiese since it is open till 11:30 pm.

What are you waiting for? Markus Söder is already here:

Plus, there is Bavaria’s biggest flea market tomorrow, if you want to buy. Good time to buy second-hand and save environmental resources.

Garbage Detectives Could Be Real

You probably don’t know this woman, but the good part is that you don’t have to anymore because she was about to have garbage detectives monitored but the idea has been rejected.

Bulky waste, old electrical equipment, and even residual waste bags are illegally disposed of at Munich's recycling points. Municipal officer Kristina Frank (CSU) therefore wanted to commission a detective agency the monitoring.

Munich – The idea of having Munich's recycling islands monitored by a detective agency is apparently rejected by the majority of the town hall. "I'm rather skeptical as to whether the proposal can really solve the problem of uncontrolled dumping of rubbish outside of the containers," says Green City Councilor Sibylle Stöhr.

The CSU, meanwhile, welcomes the move. City Councilor Heike Kainz: “During the Corona pandemic, the waste situation at recycling points has gotten worse. Reality leaves less and less leeway.” Nevertheless, personal responsibility and the idea of environmental protection must be in the foreground. “But it is also about effectively putting a stop to the uncontrolled dumping of all kinds of waste at recycling points. We see the chance that the garbage detectives represent a proven means for a significant improvement."

Anyway, our recommendation is that we all should be careful citizens and take care of our nearest garbage disposals.

The Inflation is NOW Real 😔

We, expats, love Döner, not only because it is tasty but because it is frigging CHEAP. Not anymore, due to change in oil pricing, the Döner could cost around 7.3€. For a long time, a doner kebab only cost around 3.50€ nationwide.

So if you see Döner price 6-7.5€, don’t be surprised. Read more here.

Although the Döner prices are getting expensive, our love for Döner is still there. You might think Mustafa Kebab house is the best Döner in Munich. I can tell you that you need to revisit your opinion by visiting Kebab Haus.

Don’t believe me? Look at this genuinely authentic picture below:
